A $7,000 bill got me thinking.
On sabbatical I shipped OpenClaw skills, a Claude Code plugin, and Stumble. One night a Stumble script ran loose on Google Maps while I slept. I woke up to a $7,000 Google bill and had to appeal it.
ProductRank grew from that bill, helping agents pick the right tools before the bill shows up.

I stopped recruiting to build.
My first mini app, Friends of Friends, hit the top 10 on Farcaster before I really knew how to code. A hackathon project became Hypesino. People played it, but I didn’t want to spend my days on gambling, so I walked away.

Recruiting paid for the time to build.
I started in 2019, hiring engineers for trading firms in Chicago. DeFi got me hired as Head of Recruiting at ConsenSys Mesh. Then I started Peeple Work to help crypto teams hire.
I was helping so many engineers that I couldn’t place them all. So I paid some of them to build with me in the evenings. That’s how interested.fyi started.
